Hummus Attempt No. 2

1 can of garbanzo beans

1/8 cup tahini

3 cloves garlic

1/8-1/4 cup fresh parsley

3 Tbsp lemon juice

1 tsp ground cumin

1 tsp olive oil

1/4-1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

Salt and pepper, to taste

Pinch of lime zest (optional)

1/2 jalapeno pepper (optional)

Drain garbanzo beans, reserving liquid. Put all ingredients in a food processor and puree until smooth. Add about 1/4 cup of the reserved garbanzo liquid, more if needed for the “thick batter” consistency. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Chill and serve.
